Over the last few weeks the first round of the Red Bull Thre3style battle took place in various cities across the US. I know a DJ or 2 in each city and I have to say that there is some serious talent in the competition this year. In the Philly regional back on January 30th, my bro Patrice McBride executed his set with precision. He put together a masterpiece where he used the music to do the talking. He won runner-up and made a mix that I will listen to for years to come, check it:

Representing for Las Vegas in the Phoenix regional was Blaze or VJ Blaze as I know him. I saw him do his thing a few years ago here in Sin City at the first ever Video DJ Battle which he was the runner-up in. This weekend I'll be making my first trip to the last frontier, Alaska! On Friday, September 12th, I will be spinning alongside the lovely DJ Highmaintenace at the Ice Bar in Chilkoot Charlie's. I've heard great things about this place from a few DJ friends so it should be another crazy weekend. UPCOMING SHOWS IN TAIWAN
Two weeks from today I will be heading over to the Far East for a couple of shows in Taiwan! This will be my first time breaking in my passport & DJing internationally so I am extremely excited about this opportunity! Traveling overseas has been on my bucket list for awhile now so I look forward to crossing this off. On Friday, July 22nd I will be spinning in Taichung @ 18TC and then on Saturday the 23rd, I'll be in Taipei City at LMNT. Both venues look crazy online so it should be a wild weekend!
