This beat from Brillz was way too dope for Katy Perry, so DJ MGM, Mastamonk & I decided to find something to mash it with. The first Acapella we tried was Usher's "Good Kisser" and that was the perfect fit. I have yet to hear a Remix of "Good Kisser" that I would want to play during peak hours at the club but we all agreed this one was worthy of that. Give it a listen & see if you agree!

This weekend I'll be making my first trip to the last frontier, Alaska! On Friday, September 12th, I will be spinning alongside the lovely DJ Highmaintenace at the Ice Bar in Chilkoot Charlie's. I've heard great things about this place from a few DJ friends so it should be another crazy weekend. Where are my booty music fans at? In case you didn't know I grew up loving that Miami Bass sound. In fact, I was picked on about it in New York because most of my friends just didn't get it. And while MIA was the home for it, there was a few guys in Atlanta who made great tracks as well. One of the best was Lil Jon! Before the crunk sound emerged, he was making fun party records over uptempo bass heavy beats. Working on this mashup pack was more fun than any of the others, as it seemed like things were really coming full circle for me. We did another Remix and this time its an official one for Drum Squad artist B-Hav from Memphis. The song "Potion" featuring 2 Chainz originally appeared on his mixtape "Who The F*ck is B-Hav". This remix has the same tempo as the original but gets completely reworked trap style. Check it out!

My tour in Taiwan was by far one of the best experiences in my life so I wanted to put together a quick recap of the weekend. At my first gig @ 18TC in Taichung, I had my GoPro set up next to me facing the crowd the entire night while I was spinning. I used footage from that shot, along with some still photos and some other scenes where one of the resident DJs walked around the club with my GoPro. Two weeks from today I will be heading over to the Far East for a couple of shows in Taiwan! This will be my first time breaking in my passport & DJing internationally so I am extremely excited about this opportunity! Traveling overseas has been on my bucket list for awhile now so I look forward to crossing this off. On Friday, July 22nd I will be spinning in Taichung @ 18TC and then on Saturday the 23rd, I'll be in Taipei City at LMNT. Both venues look crazy online so it should be a wild weekend!
