THIS SATURDAY AT EASTSIDE LOUNGE

This Saturday DJ Camille & I return to Eastside Lounge in EAV. The theme for the night is Atlanta artists all night long! That's right all the current favorites: Future, Jeezy, Gucci, etc. as well as old school artists like TLC, Kris Kross, Kilo & everyone in between. In the 8 years that I lived here I've never done a whole night like this so it will definitely be a fun challenge, luckily we have plenty of artists to choose from! The party is on Saturday, July 7th & we start spinning at 10pm. Spread the word & come party with us!

THURSDAY APRIL 5TH IN EAST ATLANTA

In 2 weeks from today DJ Camille & I will be spinning at Eastside Lounge in EAV. They have the big screen up over the dance floor so we'll be doing a Video Set all night. Expect to hear & see all your favorites along with plenty of Exclusives & all the madness you've come to expect when Camille & I are behind the decks! Mark down your calendars & spread the word for Thursday, April 5th @ Eastside Lounge.

This Saturday, January 28th, DJ Camille & I will be spinning just North of ATL at Bella Nightclub in Duluth! Film crews will be in the house all night long to capture this event! Limelite Productions, ATL Nightlife & Gwinnett Parties will make this an event you don't want to miss!

THIS FRIDAY NIGHT AT GOLD ROOM IN ATL

This Friday night DJ Camille & I, along with several other talented DJs/ Producers from Atlanta, will be spinning at a benefit for our buddy Andre Perry's brother Chris. Chris recently lost everything in a house fire including his 2 dogs. All proceeds from the door will go to helping him rebuild his life. Come out to Gold Room for a great night of music & also to support a good cause!

THURSDAY IN ATL WITH ARMADA FM

THE Thursday night Pre-Party in the ATL is at The Tavern at Phipps with DJ Camille & I. The party is broadcasted on ArmadaFM from 7-10pm so even if you can't make it, you can still check it out. The first 2 hours we take it back with all of our favorites from the 80s. After that we start rocking out to all the latest dance jamz. The party goes until 1pm so if you are in the ATL come out & party with us!

MASTER OF THE MIX AUDITIONS

One of my favorite shows last year was Master of the Mix, so when the auditions for Season 2 came through Atlanta, DJ Camille & I made sure we were ready. We had only 2 minutes to impress the judges so we had a lot to cover in a short period of time. The night before I made some custom edits & practiced running through them many times. Practice is one thing but when your audience is Kid Capri, DJ Mars & Rich Medina, it is a little more nerve racking. They could tell I was nervous but in the end they were all impressed with my set & I was the 1st DJ in ATL to get the ticket to the 2nd round. The feedback I received from them was amazing & I will take the advice they gave with me every time I get behind a pair of 1200s.

While the camera crew was interviewing me after my set, I could see my girl jumping up & down out of the corner of my eye. I had a hard time concentrating on the interview because I knew she made it too & I couldn't wait to congratulate her. It was an exciting day for me & to be able to share that celebration with Camille made it even better. We are eagerly awaiting the next round & will definitely be ready for whatever challenge comes our way.

PL3DGE IN STORES NOW

For those that don't know, a few years ago my girl DJ Camille worked on an album with Killer Mike & the talented production duo Beat Bullies. It never saw the light of day, but resulted in a lasting friendship with them all.

We were fortunate enough to be around during the creation of the 3rd Volume in Killer Mike's Pledge series, which was released a few weeks ago. I bought the CD the day it dropped & haven't taken it out of my player since. In this day of disposable albums fueled by a few singles, "Mike Bigga" delivers a complete album with a high replay value. If you haven't heard it yet, I suggest you do that ASAP!

Being from the North & spending the last 16 years down South, I have a unique perspective on Hip-Hop. Since I left NY my tastes have definitely changed, but hearing this CD took me on a trip down memory lane. If you are unfamiliar with Killer Mike, the best way I could describe him is the Dirty South version of Ice Cube. His knowledge goes way beyond bars & beats. He sees what is going on in the world & isn't afraid to share his opinion. Pl3dge has that same raw energy as O'Shea Jackson did on his first few albums & that is something that has definitely been missing from Hip-Hop lately.

One day, Camille & I were at Stankonia Studios while Mike was working on Pl3dge & I had the chance to make a small contribution to the final product. He was in need of some sound effects on a few songs and one of them made the final cut. On the Gucci Mane assisted track "Animal", I provided the elephant & leopard growls, which help add some extra energy to this already crunk track.
