Over the last few weeks the first round of the Red Bull Thre3style battle took place in various cities across the US. I know a DJ or 2 in each city and I have to say that there is some serious talent in the competition this year. In the Philly regional back on January 30th, my bro Patrice McBride executed his set with precision. He put together a masterpiece where he used the music to do the talking. He won runner-up and made a mix that I will listen to for years to come, check it:

My Love (DJ Kontrol Remix) - Route 94 f. Jess GlynneOne of my favorite singers at the moment is Jess Glynne. Her voice is currently all over radio with her collaborations with the group Clean Bandit, but this track My Love holds a special place in my heart so I had to put my twist on it. I slowed down the original Route 94 version and gave it that mid-tempo bounce. It has a chill vibe but is a great way to close out your set in that 100 BPM range.
